Haha- Vatican 2 might be the answer to all those perplexing questions. It used to be that beatification/canonization was not done till a century (at least) after a person's death. (And who were the influencers of Vatican 2? That's a thornier question.)
How is it that he is not (YET) canonized while his successors were speedily credentialed saints?
