My sincere apologies, my dear readers!
I usually don’t post about a film until I’ve seen the whole thing.
This particular one, well, I couldn’t do that; every second, every minute — literally — was just too painful and stressful to watch.
And I’m just sitting here at home, all warm and cozy and well-fed!
I was able to make it through the first 15 minutes, then took a mini-break. I resumed watching until the 25th minute; at this point, I had to take a major break.
And that’s where I’ve left it for now.
In the meantime, do check out the movie for yourselves. Do let me know how it goes for you.
This was filmed between 2001 and 2003 in the West Bank.
Checkpoint Full Film- By Yoav Shamir

Documentary filmmaker Yoav Shamir's depiction of the checkpoints that the Israel Defense Forces man in the Palestinian Authority.
Kudos to Israeli filmmaker Yoav Shamir for this. His camera serving as a mere witness, to chronicle for the world the “ordinary day in the life of a Palestinian” under the heavy, dehumanizing boot of Israel.
